China blocked patrols in Arunachal: RaGa

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged on Thursday that China has impeded Indian troops from patrolling in specific areas along the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal Pradesh, and the government is attempting to conceal this information. So far, there has been no official response from the government regarding Gandhi's claims. No official word has been issued about this situation in Arunachal Pradesh.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of External Affairs stated that India views border-related issues with China as extremely serious and emphasized the importance of preserving peace and stability along the Line of Actual Control, as the state of the frontier significantly influences the overall trajectory of bilateral relations. Reports indicated aggressive posturing by Chinese forces in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Subansiri region.

During a speech at the Rachnatmak Congress convention, Gandhi claimed that Chinese troops had halted Indian patrolling in Arunachal Pradesh, asserting that the land belongs to India and cannot be patrolled by China. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah of not taking any action.

Gandhi alleged that the government was making false statements to the media to downplay the issue. The Congress Foreign Affairs department, led by former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, expressed deep concern over the reports of China denying India access to historically Indian patrolling points in Taksing, Arunachal Pradesh.

The party called for a comprehensive investigation into the matter and urged Prime Minister Modi to address the nation about these developments and engage directly with President Xi Jinping during his upcoming visit to India.
