Celtics Legend Issues 'Scary' Jaylen Brown Warning After 76ers Trade

Boston Celtics legend Rajon Rondo has issued a warning about Jaylen Brown following the Philadelphia 76ers' recent trades. On the latest episode of the Road Trippin podcast, Rondo spoke highly of the 76ers' new roster, praising LeBron James for his decision to join the team and commending new acquisition Tyrese Maxey. Rondo called the combination of hunger and the desire to prove something "a nice combination of guys that have a lot of fuel in the fire left to prove something this year."

When discussing Jaylen Brown specifically, Rondo cautioned, "A pissed-off Jaylen Brown" could be "scary for the league." Brown had a career year last season, averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting 47.7% from the field, earning him his fifth All-Star selection, second All-NBA selection, and sixth MVP vote.

Despite some questioning his value, Rondo believes Brown entering the 2026-27 season with a chip on his shoulder could make him a formidable opponent for the rest of the league, especially if the 76ers make it to the playoffs healthy with LeBron on the court.
