Caitlin Clark passes WNBA legend in all-time list

Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever has become the third all-time leading scorer in the WNBA, surpassing Sue Bird after recording her 10th double-double of the season. On Tuesday, Clark achieved a remarkable feat by dropping 22 points and 10 assists against the New York Liberty, helping her team secure their second consecutive win.

This is the second time Clark has set a new record, with her 29th 20-plus point, 10-plus assist game pushing her past Bird on the all-time list among guards. What's particularly impressive is that Clark accomplished this feat in only 82 career games, compared to Bird's 580. The 24-year-old Fever superstar is now just two spots behind Bird in the all-time list.

Clark has four double-doubles in her last five games, and she is averaging a career-high 21.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. Despite playing a career-low 30.4 minutes per game and dealing with a lingering back issue, Clark continues to produce impressive numbers. The Fever are currently 21-12 and fourth in the standings, and Clark's health is a priority as they aim to contend for the title this season.
