Anthropic said in talks to buy startup Decart for $6 billion

Anthropic, a leading artificial intelligence company, is reportedly in negotiations to acquire Decart AI for approximately $6 billion, as disclosed by sources familiar with the situation. Decart specializes in creating world models and software that enhances the efficiency of AI training, potentially benefiting Anthropic's existing infrastructure.

The deal, if finalized, would be Anthropic's largest acquisition to date, coming just before the company's anticipated initial public offering. Decart's technology focuses on simulating the physical world and reducing AI training costs, with applications ranging from autonomous driving to e-commerce. The startup, founded in 2023 by Israeli brothers Dean, Orian, and Moshe, has already secured significant funding, raising $300 million in May 2025 at a valuation of nearly $4 billion.

Decart's CEO, Dean Leitersdorf, highlighted the company's innovative approach to training AI on vast amounts of text and video data, enabling real-time rendering of fabrics for e-commerce platforms. Anthropic and Decart have not yet commented on the acquisition talks.
