‘Amitabh Bachchan said hit me with full intensity’: Gajendra Chauhan on Big B’s ‘greatness’

Actor Gajendra Chauhan, renowned for his role as Yudhishthir in the popular TV series Mahabharat, recently shared his experiences working with two legendary Bollywood stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan, on the Hindi Rush podcast. One of the most memorable moments for Chauhan was when he had to hit Bachchan in the film Baghban.

Despite being a massive admirer of the veteran actor, Chauhan felt hesitant to deliver the scene as his heart wasn't in it. However, Bachchan's response to Chauhan's dilemma showcased the actor's greatness. Instead of shying away from the intense moment or worrying about his reputation as a superstar, Bachchan insisted that Chauhan hit him with full intensity, stating, "Hit with full intensity."

This line, according to Chauhan, is a testament to Bachchan's dedication to his craft and his commitment to delivering authentic performances. Chauhan also spoke highly of his collaboration with Salman Khan, praising the actor not only for his talent but also for his character. He described Khan as a kindhearted individual who treats everyone around him with kindness and support.

Chauhan recalled an incident where Salman Khan, through his philanthropic foundation Being Human, helped a cancer patient by fulfilling his financial needs, even after the patient returned to express his disappointment that the money hadn't helped save his son's life.
