구광모-젠슨 황 두 달 만에 다시 만난다…AI 3대 산업 파트너십 체결

LG Electronics Group Chairman 황연승 met with Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, for the second time in just two months in Silicon Valley, USA. The meeting took place at Nvidia's headquarters in San Jose, California on June 14th. This was the second sit-down after their initial chat during a 6-month period, held at the Yeouido Twin Tower in Seoul.

During their last discussion, the two talked about expanding their strategic collaborations in physical AI, AI infrastructure, and mobility. Nvidia's focus was on physical AI, which involves AI making decisions and acting in the real world, like humanoid robots and autonomous vehicles. LG Electronics plans to jointly develop their home robot, 'Elgong Claire,' with Nvidia's humanoid inference model, 'Isla Grout'.

Both companies see opportunities across a wide range of industries for AI model validation, including home appliances, chemicals, and batteries. Mobility is also a key area of potential cooperation, where Nvidia's autonomous driving platform, 'Drive Hyperion,' could enhance the competitiveness of next-generation ADAS systems. Additionally, the two are planning to collaborate on cooling solutions for AI data centers.

With the growing importance of cooling technology to manage the heat generated by AI services, LG Electronics has recently achieved quality certification for a 600 kilowatt (kW) chilled water distribution apparatus (CDU) from Nvidia.
