Accused of cattle theft, slaughter, six of ‘Badam Gang’ booked under GUJCTOC

Panchmahal police have accused six members of the "Badam Gang" of serious offences, including cattle theft and illegal slaughter, under the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GUJCTOC) Act. The police investigation, conducted by the Local Crime Branch, revealed a record of 18 serious offences allegedly committed by the group.

Anas Abdulgani Badam, a resident of Godhra, has been arrested in connection with the GUJCTOC case, while the other five accused are currently in jail and awaiting transfer warrants. The gang members have been linked to various cases in different police stations, involving cattle theft, transportation, slaughter, and serious offences against people.

Sajid Ilyas was booked for murder, while Owais alias Junaid Mohammed Hanif Durga faces charges of attempted murder and rioting. This marks the third major GUJCTOC action in Panchmahal involving alleged organised cattle crime in recent years, following similar cases against the Bhopli Gang and the Hayat Gang.
