A10 Networks launches AI gateway for enterprise model management

A10 Networks, a network infrastructure company, has introduced its A10 AI Gateway, a solution designed for managing AI applications and large language models in enterprise settings. This product was unveiled at Black Hat USA 2026 in Las Vegas. The gateway tackles the difficulties businesses encounter as the use of AI grows across different teams and models without unified control.

The A10 AI Gateway directs requests to the most appropriate models according to the complexity of the task. It also enforces access policies based on user and group profiles, which are kept up-to-date with the enterprise's directory systems. Furthermore, it offers detailed cost tracking for each request in dollars. The system also sets token budget limits for each model and team, and enforces rate limiting based on key or team.

Dhrupad Trivedi, A10 Networks' president and CEO, emphasized the need for businesses to quickly adopt AI while maintaining control. The A10 AI Gateway provides enterprises with a single intelligent control plane to monitor AI usage, govern access to various models, and match each request to the most suitable model at the correct cost.

The gateway assesses the complexity of every request, directing simpler tasks to more cost-efficient models and complex tasks to more capable ones. Enterprises can set hard limits and receive soft-limit alerts for token budgets, and monitor AI usage across various teams.

The A10 AI Gateway operates within the customer's environment, whether it is on-premises, in private clouds, or air-gapped configurations. The product is part of A10 Networks' wider AI security portfolio, which also includes TrojAI and ThreatX solutions.
