5 Actors You Probably Forgot Had Marvel Roles

Five actors who had notable roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) but are often overlooked by fans include Charlize Theron, Sam Rockwell, Harry Styles, Brett Goldstein, and Walton Goggins.

Charlize Theron made her MCU debut in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" as Clea, a character from the Dark Dimension and niece of Dormammu. Her presence in the film was limited to a post-credits scene, but she plays an essential role in attempting to fix an incursion between universes.

Sam Rockwell played the villain Justin Hammer in "Iron Man 2." Hammer is a defense contractor who tries to modify Stark's armor and hires Ivan Vanko to do so. Rockwell's role in the MCU extended beyond "Iron Man 2," appearing in "All Hail the King" and "What If…?"

Harry Styles, best known for his music career, had a brief appearance in the MCU in the post-credits scene of "Eternals" as Eros, also known as Starfox. Eros can control other people's emotions and is a member of both the Avengers and the Dark Guardians in the comics. However, the film received mixed reviews, and Styles' role has largely been forgotten since then.

Brett Goldstein, known for his role in "Ted Lasso," played Hercules in "Thor: Love and Thunder." Hercules is tasked with killing Thor after the god steals Zeus' lightning bolt. Goldstein's portrayal of Hercules was a brief but memorable part of the film, but he has not appeared in any other MCU projects since. Finally, Walton Goggins, known for his roles in various films and TV shows, played Sonny Burch in "Ant-Man and the Wasp."

Burch is a black market tech dealer who double-crosses Hank Pym and tries to steal his research. Goggins' role in the film provided a memorable antagonist for the team.
