Yandex Pay removed from App Store

Yandex Pay has been removed from the App Store, the company announced. Users with the app installed are advised not to delete it, as it remains functional, though unable to be reinstalled or updated. Yandex assured that users' funds are secure. The App Store eliminated Yandex Pay from its foreign versions in July 2026, retaining it in the Russian version.

Yandex Pay, operated by Yandex, enables cashless transactions for web and offline purchases, mobile service payments, and interbank money transfers. The European Union sanctioned Yandex Bank in July 2025, leading to its removal from the App Store. Other apps affected included Max, VKontakte, Mail.ru, and Odnoklassniki, all tied to the VK holding company.
