Use of sex toys in marriage not a sin – Apostle Aghasedo

Apostle Joshua Aghasedo of Powerline Church has stated that the use of sex toys by married couples does not constitute a sin. He referred to sex toys as tools that can assist spouses in their intimate life, comparing them to everyday equipment such as cars and phones. Speaking to his congregation in a video, Aghasedo emphasized that the use of sex toys should be considered within the context of marriage, not outside of it.

He argued that while he had never personally used a sex toy, he had previously recommended their use to a couple based on their circumstances to prevent further actions. Aghasedo clarified that using a sex toy individually is considered masturbation, which he equated with fornication in his religious interpretation. He stressed that the use of sex toys is only appropriate within the framework of marriage.

The pastor further distinguished between the use of sex toys within marriage and outside of it, maintaining that it's only for married couples. The use of sex toys among married couples remains a subject of debate in Nigeria, with views differing among faith leaders.
