Truckbud offers transport solutions

Winnipeg-based entrepreneur Praise Odutayo launched Truckbud, a ridesharing platform designed to help people transport large items without owning a truck or van. The platform connects users with vetted local drivers who can deliver to the customer's location on the same day. Users can request same-day delivery for furniture and appliances, and drivers earn a 20% commission on each job.

Since launching nine months ago, Truckbud has assisted over 600 Winnipeggers and local businesses. The service will expand to Calgary before the end of the year, followed by Brandon, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Kelowna next year.
