Public cultural commentator Park Duk-hyun argues that the use of the killer theme allows for catharsis and empathy, while also emphasizing the drama's relatability. The series follows three-cousin Jason (played by Kim Hye-jun), who must survive in a secluded island after becoming a target of killers due to his family's wealth.
