Donald Trump, the former US President, was photographed enjoying a round of golf at his Trump National Golf Club, protected by mobile surface-to-air missiles. Reports from the military publication 'The Warzone' on September 10th indicated that US Army personnel had deployed the short-range missile system 'Avenger' near the golf course during Trump's golf game.

The publication confirmed the authenticity of these images with the White House. A video from the White House on January 1st showed Trump visiting the same golf course and jokingly saying, "Missiles and drones don't worry me." Military officials joked about handling the situation, pointing to the deployed 'Avenger' system. That same day, two civilian airliners were intercepted in the national airspace above the golf course, with two F-16 fighter jets dispatched by NORAD.

In July, Trump used a civilian charter plane instead of a specially designated secret plane when visiting Turkey due to concern over Iranian threats. The Wall Street Journal reported that the White House had relayed an intercepted message from Iran threatening to use a long-range missile against the US. Trump had previously stated that there was always a threat to his life and that Iran had top priority as his target.

In February, an armed man with a gun entered Trump's meeting with the press corps and the White House, but was arrested. On April 2nd, a man carrying a gun entered the golf course in Los Angeles where Trump was about to visit and was also arrested. In July 2024, an assassination attempt was thwarted when a bullet narrowly missed Trump's right ear at the White House.
