SpaceXAI launches Grok Bot, an always-on AI agent

Elon Musk's SpaceXAI has unveiled Grok Bot, a persistent AI agent capable of handling tasks independently while users focus on other responsibilities. The feature, sometimes referred to in the plural, is designed to act as a highly capable teammate that can be activated through conversation. Multiple bots can be run simultaneously, with one bot potentially leading a team of bots that communicate and coordinate their efforts to complete a task.

Bots can also join group chats to collaborate like human colleagues, sharing work, assigning ownership, and only involving human operators for critical decisions. SpaceXAI has provided several instances of how its teams are leveraging Grok Bot. One case involves a Bot managing the distribution of NDAs for beta access to a feature, while another instance showcases a bot identifying and following up on open invoices across various platforms, logging replies, and escalating only those that require attention.

Grok Bot is currently available in beta to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers on desktop and iOS devices. Enterprise users can join a waitlist for future access. This development echoes similar offerings from other tech companies like OpenAI and Anthropic, who also provide persistent AI agents that can work in the background and collaboratively.
