Saudi justice minister meets Malaysian chief justice to boost cooperation

Saudi Justice Minister Walid Al-Samaani traveled to Malaysia and met with its Chief Justice, Wan Ahmad Fadhil bin Wan Salleh. The purpose of their meeting was to discuss judicial cooperation between the two nations and to sign an agreement to strengthen ties in this area. During the visit, the minister was accompanied by the Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia, Osama bin Dakhel Al-Ahmadi.

Al-Samaani and Wan Salleh discussed a range of topics aimed at boosting judicial cooperation, including case management, digital transformation, and judicial development. They also exchanged information on best practices in these areas. Furthermore, Al-Samaani was given an overview of Malaysia's electronic court system and judicial management mechanisms. He had the opportunity to tour several facilities at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya.

As a result of the meeting, both countries signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance their judicial cooperation. This agreement covers several key areas: the exchange of expertise in areas such as case management, the use of technology in justice administration, document management, sharing legal information, and organizing professional visits to further cooperation and knowledge exchange between relevant authorities.
