Rupee Extends Winning Streak to 218 Days Against US Dollar

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) maintained its winning streak, closing in the green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 218th consecutive day on Wednesday. It closed at 277.66, up one paisa from the previous session. Since December 25, 2025, the rupee has consistently gained value against the dollar. The PKR remained stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR).

However, it experienced a decline against the British Pound (GBP) and the Euro (EUR), losing 27 and 11 paisas, respectively. The rupee also saw a decrease against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and the Canadian Dollar (CAD), falling 20 and 11 paisas, respectively. Despite these fluctuations, the Pakistani rupee continues to outperform other major currencies, including the Euro and British Pound.
