Rockies have a party at the snake farm, strike the D-backs 3-2

The Colorado Rockies bounced back strongly in Game 2 of their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, emerging victorious with a final score of 3-2. The offense was the driving force behind the win, with a key contribution from Kyle Karros who hit his 10th home run of the season and tied the game in the sixth inning. Tomoyuki Sugano, the Rockies' starting pitcher, performed well early on, allowing only two runs and nine hits over six innings, despite surrendering two solo home runs to Corbin Carroll and Nolan Arenado in the first.

Karros' homer was followed by a pair of singles by Jordan Beck and Cole Carrigg, but neither could capitalize on the opportunity. The game continued to drag on until Ezequiel Tovar got on base for the Rockies in the sixth, setting the stage for Karros' game-changing blast. Following the homer, Arenado struck out to end the inning and keep the game tied at two.

The Rockies bullpen then took over, with Jimmy Herget and Brennan Bernadino retiring all batters they faced to secure the win. The Rockies finished the game with three runs on six hits, walking twice and striking out seven times. Karros is currently under concussion protocol. The Rockies now have a 47-73 record for the season, while the Diamondbacks sit at 64-57.
