Putin warns NATO presence in Pacific raises risk of conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed concern over NATO's growing influence in the Pacific region, warning that it heightens the risk of conflict in the area. Putin stated that NATO's expansion in the Pacific heightens tensions and poses threats to Russia's interests. He emphasized that the presence of new military and political alliances and advanced weaponry systems in the region is a cause for alarm.

The Russian leader highlighted the importance of Pacific Fleet exercises to maintain combat readiness and safeguard Russia's security in the Asia-Pacific region. Putin stressed that these exercises must be carried out while considering the lessons learned from the ongoing special military operation. He reaffirmed Russia's commitment to cooperation and the use of the Northern Sea Route, in line with international maritime law.

Putin warned that any attempts to seize Russian ships or seize property would be met with retaliation, not limited to the location of the initial attack, but wherever deemed necessary by Russia.
