PM inspects development and service projects in Gharbiya Governorate

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inspected development and service projects in Gharbiya Governorate on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Accompanied by several ministers and senior officials, Madbouly toured various infrastructure initiatives, highlighting Gharbia's historical role as an industrial and agricultural hub. The projects aimed to enhance basic services and improve rural communities' quality of life as part of the presidential "Decent Life" initiative.

Emphasizing Egypt's dedication to drinking water services, Madbouly inaugurated the Nahtay water station in Zefta district. He stressed the critical importance of water services in citizens' daily lives and health benefits. The station upgrade, under the "Decent Life" initiative, aimed to boost water production, improve pumping rates, and enhance service stability for residents.

Inspecting a Family Medicine Center in Sandbast village, Madbouly praised healthcare projects as a cornerstone of the state's investment in human development. The three-story center, with a capacity to serve over 47,000 citizens, featured specialist clinics, family medicine, dental, and first-aid services. Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar highlighted the center's role in providing quality medical care closer to residents' homes, reducing travel needs, and supporting comprehensive health coverage.

Governor Alaa Abdel Moaty reported that 221 projects had been completed in Zefta district, serving around 560,000 people. The governorate was undergoing a significant transformation in healthcare infrastructure through the "Decent Life" initiative. The governor was accompanied by key ministers and officials during the tour.
