Patriots’ Kayshon Boutte Sounds Like He Still Wants to Be Traded

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has maintained that he desires to be traded, even if he doesn't openly express it. Sources suggest he requested a trade during the offseason, and his recent remarks about teams watching him in training camp and potential use of film as trade bait do little to instill confidence in his desire to remain with the team.

It appears as though Boutte may be contemplating leaving New England. "I mean, yeah. Every team pretty much watches. They watch film. I wouldn't say practice film, but I mean they watch the game film. You see. Even preseason. Really, all 32 teams watching. Not just the team you play for... Everybody watching," he commented, as per Carlos Lopez.

"I wanna practice for myself, for my team, and get better... If I'm sitting out, I'm not getting no better, and other people are getting better. So I gotta come out here, take my reps, and do what I gotta do," Gonzalez reiterated, according to Carlos Lopez. If a Patriots player expresses a lack of interest in staying with the team, it may be prudent to consider moving him on.

However, it's also worth noting that Boutte is a highly skilled player with the potential to become the team's second leading receiver this season. Instead of dismissing him simply because he feels frustrated about the number of touches he receives, it might be more beneficial to provide him with additional opportunities to improve his rapport with the offense.

It doesn't seem like a relationship that can't be repaired, so unless the Patriots receive an exceptionally enticing offer, it seems unlikely that Boutte would be traded in the near future.
