Opposition slams Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor V.V.Rajesh over claims regarding U.S. trip

The Opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF) has criticized Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor V.V.Rajesh over his claims regarding his recent U.S. trip. The LDF's Parliamentary Party leader, S.P. Deepak, accused the mayor of misleading the public with tall claims made during a private visit. Deepak stated that the Mayor claimed benefits from the trip without providing any official or semi-official programs, which is not consistent with the role of a mayor.

He further criticized the mayor for organizing a reception for himself while employees were kept in the sun during official hours. Deepak also highlighted that the mayor should discuss the current realities in America, given the lack of clarity on how American policies would affect India's trade sector and the diaspora community.
