Nigeria: Airlines Resume Flights After Aviation Unions Temporarily Suspend Industrial Action

Nigeria's airlines have resumed operations after aviation unions temporarily suspended their industrial action, which had left passengers stranded at airports in Lagos and Abuja. Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines were among the domestic airlines to resume flights, with Air Peace spokesperson Osifo-Whiskey Efe stating that the airline operates about 70 regional and international flights daily, canceling 29 as of Tuesday afternoon.

United Nigeria Airlines also announced the resumption of its flight operations, working to accommodate affected passengers and reunite them with their destinations. The dispute between the unions and airline operators remains unresolved, with the unions indicating that the temporary suspension could continue to the following day, potentially targeting other airlines as well.
