Nick Reiner indicted on murder charges in parents' killings at their LA home

Nick Reiner has been indicted on murder charges for the killings of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, in their Brentwood home last year. He pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder with special circumstances of multiple murders and murder by means of lying in wait, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

The grand jury indicted him on July 20, skipping the preliminary hearing process. Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Reiner, 70, were found dead by their daughter, Romy Reiner, on December 14. The LA County Medical Examiner's Office stated that the couple died from multiple sharp force injuries. Rob Reiner was known for his role as Archie Bunker's son-in-law, Michael Stivic, on CBS's All in the Family, winning two Emmy Awards for the role.

Michele Reiner was a successful photographer who took the photo of President Trump for his book cover. The night before the killings, the Reiners attended a party at Conan O'Brien's, where there was a brief and loud argument between Rob and Nick Reiner. The Reiners had plans with Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama on the day they were found dead.

If convicted, Nick Reiner could face death or life in prison without parole. His next hearing is scheduled for September 15.
