NDC USA Youth Organiser declares intention to contest Deputy National Youth Organiser position

Emmanuel Issah Abudu, a long-standing member and two-term Youth Organiser for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper East Region of Ghana, has announced his plans to challenge for the position of Deputy National Youth Organiser. Mr. Abudu, who has worked tirelessly to support young members of the NDC both in Ghana and the diaspora, cites his motivation as a desire to aid in the growth and development of the party's youth structures.

Throughout his career, Mr. Abudu has been deeply involved in various aspects of the NDC, including mobilizing young people, organizing events, and contributing to election campaigns. He worked closely with the NDC’s 2024 election campaign team, touring the country to gain support for the party. Additionally, he played a crucial role in raising resources from both Ghana and the diaspora to bolster the Youth Wing and the campaign efforts.

Mr. Abudu's decision to run for the Deputy National Youth Organiser position is not about personal gain, but rather a commitment to addressing the needs of young party members, particularly those at the grassroots level. He emphasizes that this is about supporting the young people who have tirelessly sacrificed for the NDC and deserving leaders who will fight for their interests.

With his extensive experience in grassroots politics, TEIN, and the NDC Youth Wing, Mr. Abudu believes his background gives him a unique perspective on fostering collaboration between the party's youth structures in Ghana and abroad. His campaign promises to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including regional, constituency, and branch youth organisers, TEIN leaders, party executives, grassroots activists, and diaspora youth to discuss the future direction of the NDC Youth Wing.

His campaign priorities include youth empowerment, employment and entrepreneurship, skills development, TEIN empowerment, strengthening youth structures, leadership development, and increasing the involvement of diaspora youth in the party's activities. Mr. Abudu stresses that the next chapter of the NDC Youth Wing must build upon the successes of the current leadership while creating even more opportunities for young people who continue to serve as the backbone of the party.
