Metrash eases access for relatives

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has introduced a Metrash service that allows relatives to authorize themselves to use the application on their own devices, even if they lack a mobile number registered in their own name. This new feature addresses a common hurdle for dependents seeking digital government services via Metrash, which previously necessitated a mobile number tied to the user's Qatar ID.

To enable this authorization, users need to navigate to the application's main menu, select "Delegation," and then opt for "Relative Registration." By entering the relative's Qatar ID number, mobile number, and ID expiry date, they can complete the process with a few straightforward steps. Upon confirmation, the relative gains the ability to use the designated mobile number to activate Metrash on their device, all without the need to visit an MoI service center or secure a separate mobile subscription linked to their Qatar ID.

This initiative is especially beneficial for family members whose mobile numbers are registered under their sponsor's name. It grants them direct access to Metrash services on their personal devices, eliminating the requirement for a distinct mobile subscription linked to their Qatar ID. Metrash facilitates access to over 400 MoI services, encompassing residency, visas, traffic matters, and official documents.

The application also features a digital wallet and is available in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu, as per its official application listing.
