Liu part of expanding PBM beyond myself, says Sng

Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) president Larry Sng confirmed on Sunday that former DAP veteran Ronnie Liu has joined the party. Sng stated that Liu's entry is part of the party's efforts to expand its leadership and recruit talents from diverse backgrounds, rather than simply adding another political celebrity. PBM aims to build a robust leadership circle and strengthen grassroots organisational development across Peninsular Malaysia.

Sng believes that a political party cannot rely on a single leader, and he will consider his tenure a success if PBM can operate smoothly and continue growing even without him at its helm one day. Analysts had doubted PBM's plans to expand its presence in West Malaysia, but Sng remains confident. Liu, for his part, emphasized that he joined PBM to build its grassroots network, scout for talents, and nurture young leaders.

He vowed to start from the ground up, focusing on tangible results such as the number of grassroots branches established, active members signed up, policy proposals developed, and Malaysians' perception of PBM as a viable political alternative. Both Sng and Liu reaffirmed that PBM is a multiracial party committed to good governance and improving Malaysians' lives, without demanding a revision of current assessments by political analysts.
