Lebanon condemns 'systematic' Israeli destruction in south

Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam harshly condemned Israel's systematic destruction in the southern part of the country, branding it a violation of international law. Israel's defense minister claimed that the Israeli military was destroying all the houses in the region.

Salam's statement detailed the various acts of destruction, including attacks, incursions, demolitions, and the outright destruction of homes, infrastructure, government buildings, and places of worship. He emphasized that what Israel was doing did not align with the principles of international law and humanitarian law.

Furthermore, Salam pointed out that villages and towns in the area were not merely civilian areas but were entirely military facilities. He argued that this claim was illogical and could not justify the destruction, displacement of residents, and the prohibition of their return.
