Karoline Leavitt is stepping down as White House press secretary. Here's what to know about her life and career.

Karoline Leavitt, a 28-year-old White House press secretary, is set to leave her role at the end of the month. Born and raised in Atkinson, New Hampshire, Leavitt attended a Catholic high school and later Saint Anselm College, where she earned a degree in politics and communication. She began her career with a White House internship during President Donald Trump's first term and later served as the youngest-ever White House press secretary in his second term.

Leavitt has also worked as an assistant press secretary for former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and as director of communications for Rep. Elise Stefanik. She joined Trump's 2024 presidential campaign as his national press secretary and is married to real-estate developer Nicholas Riccio, with whom she has two children.
