Jaissle 'aware' of Newcastle needs after Everton friendly loss

Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle was acutely aware of the club's needs after his team's loss to Everton in a pre-season friendly. Despite the 3-1 defeat, Jaissle remained consistent in his approach and expressed confidence that the team would address their shortcomings internally.

The new signing Bazoumana Toure showcased his pace down the left flank, while Joelinton and Yoane Wissa, the squad's oldest players at 29, were instrumental in the game. However, the team struggled to capitalize on numerous scoring opportunities and showed vulnerability in defense, particularly after conceding a penalty in the 68th minute.

Substitute Harvey Barnes scored the equalizer in the 73rd minute, and Newcastle managed to pull one back late in the game. Jaissle acknowledged the need for reinforcements in the transfer market, including a right-back, central midfielder, and an additional player if necessary.
