Harga petrol, diesel tanpa subsidi turun mulai esok

Starting tomorrow, the prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol without subsidies will decrease by 20 sen and 15 sen respectively across the country, while the price of diesel without subsidies will drop by 10 sen. According to the Finance Ministry, the price of RON97 is set at RM4.15 per liter, down from RM4.35, and RON95 is set at RM3.62 per liter, down from RM3.77.

The price of diesel without subsidy will be set at RM4.47 per liter, down from RM4.57. These prices will remain in effect until August 19. Meanwhile, subsidized fuel prices remain unchanged with RON95 priced at RM1.99 less than BUDI95 and diesel at RM2.10 less than BUDI Diesel. Subsidy rates for the Fuel Control System for Petrol and Diesel also remain at RM2.05 and RM2.15 respectively.

The hope for resolving the conflict between the United States and Iran has led to global oil prices reaching a lower level over the past week. However, uncertainty about the reopening of the Hormuz Strait continues to pose a risk of disruptions in global fuel supplies, putting pressure on petroleum prices. The Finance Ministry urges the public to practice fuel conservation, plan more efficient travel, and reduce unnecessary travel to help sustain national supplies and reduce pressure on subsidized expenses.
