Google challenges Apple in India’s premium segment with Pixel 11 lineup and AI upgrades

Google is launching a new lineup of smartphones under the Pixel 11 series, targeting the premium market in India with an emphasis on AI upgrades. The four models in the series, including the top-end Pixel 11 Pro Fold, boast improved cameras, performance, and battery life compared to the previous year's lineup. Storage capacity has also been doubled, with a minimum of 256 gigabytes.

The Pixel 11 lineup mirrors Apple's approach to hardware, software, and ecosystem integration to stand out in the competitive market. A notable addition is the new HiLight feature, an ambient LED array for notifications and interactions with Google's Gemini AI. The base model, Pixel 11, features a 6.3-inch 3,000-nit display, 12 GB of RAM, a 48 MP camera with 30x Super Zoom, and fast charging.

The higher-end models offer larger displays, increased RAM, more storage, and advanced camera capabilities, including a 50 MP main camera with 120x Pro Zoom. These devices run on the Google Tensor G6 processor and Titan M3 security chip, ensuring efficient AI processing and advanced privacy protections. All devices run on Android 17 and Gemini Intelligence, an AI system designed to proactively assist users with automated tasks.

While incremental upgrades, the Pixel 11 series demonstrates Google's focus on showcasing the optimization of Android software and hardware, aiming to compete with Apple and Samsung in India's premium smartphone segment.
