Ghana’s top capital market, investment and trade leaders headline CanCham’s CEOs’ Connect 2026

Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce (CanCham) will host the CEOs’ Connect 2026 event on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra. The focus of this high-level business dialogue is to explore how Ghanaian and Canadian companies can raise the capital necessary to expand beyond domestic markets.

The theme for this year's event is "Financing the Future: Capital Strategies for Cross-Border Business Expansion" and it marks the Chamber's 10th anniversary. This comes at a critical time for Ghana's economy as the government aims to reset the economy, restore investor confidence, and implement the 24-Hour Economy programme.

The main highlight of the event is a panel discussion featuring key figures from domestic capital markets, foreign direct investment promotion, export-oriented manufacturing, continental market access, and commercial bank lending. The panel includes Abena Amoah, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Stock Exchange; Simon Madjie, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; Dr. Mary Awusi, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority; Cynthia E. Gnassingbe-Essonam, Director of Private Sector Engagement and Communications at the AfCFTA Secretariat; Calleb Osei, Country Chief Financial Officer of Guaranty Trust Bank Ghana; and distinguished guests of honor such as Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff at the Office of the President of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, and Myriam Montrat, Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana.

Following the panel discussion, there will be a B2B networking session where participating companies can meet to explore partnerships, investment, and trade collaborations. Previous editions of CEOs’ Connect have been instrumental in turning discussions into transactions, making it a crucial platform for economic diplomacy between Ghana and Canada.

The Chamber aims to continue this trend by focusing on practical economic cooperation, trade facilitation, and investment acceleration. The event is supported by Ad-Precision Ltd, Prestige Developers, and TSG Drive, and complimentary health screening is provided by The Bank Hospital. Registration and inquiries can be made via info@canada-gh.org or www.canada-gh.org.
