On Tuesday night, Callum Turner and Will Gluck made an appearance at the Sydney premiere of the rom-com film One Night Only. Turner, the British actor and star of the film, was joined by director/producer Gluck at the Hoyts cinema in the Entertainment Quarter, south-east of the city center. Unfortunately, Turner's wife, English singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, was not present at the premiere.

Will Gluck, who has previously filmed in Sydney for the global hit Anyone But You, is no stranger to the city. The event marked the end of Turner and Gluck's promotional tour in Sydney, with the duo scheduled to engage in media activities at various locations throughout the city the following day. During a brief Q&A session, Gluck was asked about the essential elements for a modern dating film. He emphasized the importance of two attractive actors who can captivate audiences, pointing to Turner and co-star Monica Barbaro.

Gluck praised Turner and Barbaro, noting their exceptional acting skills and their status as major stars. He humorously suggested that no one would be looking at him during the Q&A, as they would be focused on Turner. Academy Award-nominee Barbaro, who plays the role of Allie, jokingly quipped that Turner would be able to participate in the next Q&A session naked.

The film, set in an imaginary New York with restrictive laws against single people engaging in sexual activities, follows the story of Allie and Owen. Owen, recently dumped, seeks more than just a casual encounter, while Allie, a hopeful romantic, desires a genuine connection. As they meet by chance in this fictionalised version of New York, they must navigate the pressures of the once-a-year night where such encounters are permitted. The movie, a charming take on the concept, has been praised for its fun and engaging narrative.
