Fans upset after S'pore vs Thailand football tickets sell out in minutes, reselling at up to S$1,500 a pair

Fans expressed outrage after Singapore's national football team's semi-final match against Thailand at Jalan Besar Stadium sold out in mere minutes, with reselling happening at prices up to S$1,500 per pair. These tickets were exclusively available online through the Tickethotline platform. Over 4,000 tickets were released, but they disappeared almost as soon as they became available.

Fans complained about the ticketing system, claiming it was impossible to secure a seat, even with early arrival and early entry into the virtual queue. The reselling of tickets at inflated prices led to accusations of bots and scalpers taking advantage of the situation. Fans called on the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) to improve the ticket allocation and queue system to prevent such scalping practices.
