Emirates, Etihad rank among Middle East’s top 3 airlines in 2026 Flyers’ Choice Awards

In the 2026 Flyers’ Choice Awards, Dubai-based Emirates emerged as the top airline in the Middle East and Africa region, followed by Etihad Airways in third place. These rankings were determined exclusively by traveler votes, encompassing aspects such as cabin class preferences, service quality, trust, and overall performance of regional airlines.

Qatar Airways claimed second place in the Middle East and Africa category, solidifying the dominance of the Gulf carriers at the top of the regional table. Emirates demonstrated strong performance in various individual categories, securing the first position in Preferred Premium Economy, second place in Preferred Business Class (behind Qatar Airways), and second place in Preferred Economy (behind Singapore Airlines). The airline also took second place for Best Cabin Crew and was ranked third for Best Cabin Crew.

Etihad Airways secured a spot among the airlines travelers associate with trust and peace of mind, placing third in the Peace of Mind category. The Abu Dhabi carrier ranked third for Best Aircraft Livery, trailing behind Vietnam Airlines and Air New Zealand. Additionally, Emirates clinched the Best Airline Worldwide title at the 2026 Business Traveller Middle East Awards, based on passenger ratings for comfort, food, and Wi-Fi.
