I dislike lawns, but I recently purchased a 5-acre property, much of which is lawn that requires mowing. My older gas mower had died, so I opted for an electric mower. The Ego 1300 series, a 30-inch self-propelled electric mower, caught my attention due to its powerful performance and ease of use. This mower's 30-inch cutting width, foldable handle, and maneuverability make it suitable for larger properties, while its compact size also handles smaller yards.

My previous 21-inch gas mower could only be used for a year before it died again, which led me to seek a more convenient solution. The Ego 1300 arrived just in time for a summer where grass growth was out of control, up to 10 inches in some areas. The mower's height adjustment lever is easy to use, with clearly marked inches, making it simple to set the desired cutting height.

The Ego 1300's powerful twin blades and powerful brushless motors can cut through tall grass with ease. Battery life varies depending on the selected mode, but a single charge can last around 1 hour and 20 minutes in the lowest setting. While some may argue that robot mowers are a better alternative, the author enjoys the physical activity and satisfaction of mowing their lawn with this electric mower.
