Drones hit residential buildings in Russia's Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, mayor says

Drone debris caused damage to six residential buildings in the Russian Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk, as reported by Mayor Andrei Kravchenko on Telegram. Some residents were receiving medical assistance, and a commercial building also sustained damage. Social media posts purportedly showing a large tower of flames in the city lacked verification.

In Sevastopol, Crimea, governed by Mikhail Razvozhayev, over thirty drones were brought down, with a few houses damaged, but no injuries reported. A separate incident saw a Russian strike ignite a fire at a shopping mall in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, cutting power to approximately 1,200 residents. This came amid Moscow's increased targeting of Ukrainian food and agricultural sites, in retaliation for Kyiv's assaults on Russian energy, port, and logistics hubs.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of Ukraine mentioned on Tuesday that he had presented a plan to U.S. negotiators for ending the conflict that began with Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022.
