Driver charged after bus rollover near Wawa, Ont., injures 17 passengers

On Tuesday morning, a bus rollover on Highway 17 in northern Ontario near Wawa resulted in 17 passengers sustaining minor injuries, according to provincial police. The driver of the bus has been charged with careless driving following the incident, which occurred about 25 kilometres north of Wawa. The 17 injured individuals were taken to the hospital but have since been released.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were delays along that part of Highway 17 as the bus was removed. Police are seeking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
