Cops nab 5 Chinese nationals linked to housebreaking syndicate

Kuala Lumpur police have arrested five Chinese nationals believed to be part of a housebreaking syndicate. The arrests followed a housebreaking incident on August 4 in Taman Desa Petaling, where the victim lost cash, jewelry, and a bag valued at approximately RM6,000. Acting on information, police conducted raids on August 9 in Sri Petaling and Pudu, seizing a vehicle and various housebreaking tools.

Police also recovered items belonging to the complainant, including watches, wallets, and over RM10,000 in cash in different currencies. The suspects, aged between 38 and 58, were linked to two other housebreaking cases in Cheras and have been remanded until August 13 to assist in investigations.
