Confusion as Katsina United player declared dead found alive in mortuary

Confusion has gripped the Katsina United football community following the sudden and distressing reports surrounding the health of their young defender, Ozor Chinedu. During a pre-season friendly match against Niger Tornadoes at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, the 18-year-old suddenly collapsed on the pitch. He was promptly taken to K-Dara Specialist Hospital where, according to initial reports, he was pronounced dead by the attending physicians.

However, the shocking narrative took a dramatic turn the following day. Mortuary staff at Katsina General Hospital reported observing movement in Chinedu's body, indicating the presence of life. The player was immediately transferred to the Intensive Care Unit and administered oxygen. Nasir Gide, the media officer of Katsina United, confirmed the unexpected turn of events, stating that the player had been erroneously declared dead twice before the signs of life were noted.

Heartland FC, one of Chinedu's previous clubs, also verified the incident, calling upon fans to offer prayers for his recovery. As of Wednesday morning, Chinedu continues to be in critical condition at Katsina General Hospital, leaving the football community anxiously awaiting an update on his medical status.
