CJP being refused venue on pressure from BJP: Dipke

On Wednesday, the meeting of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) volunteers in Delhi's Naraina was abruptly cancelled, according to founder Abhijeet Dipke. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of exerting pressure on the venue, causing them to revoke the booking at the eleventh hour. Dipke recounted that the organizers had already reserved the banquet hall, but upon arrival, were informed they could not use the hall due to alleged pressure.

The incident was not isolated, as Dipke alleged similar refusals at nearby venues, stating that people were being intimidated into not providing venues to CJP for its meetings. He emphasized that despite threats, the party would not be deterred. This comes on the heels of the CJP's announcement of a national team, with Dipke appointed its national convener, as the group sought to establish a robust organizational structure following their 36-day protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak issue, which resulted in education minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.

The protest, which drew support from students, young volunteers, and opposition leaders, was called off on July 25 following talks with the government.
