CBS Says There’s ‘No Timetable’ for Tony Romo’s Return as JJ Watt Takes Over Lead NFL Booth

Meanwhile, JJ Watt has taken over the lead analyst position on CBS's top NFL team, alongside Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year joined CBS in 2023 and has previously worked as an analyst on The NFL Today. Watt and his crew are set to make their first regular-season appearance on September 13th, as the Minnesota Vikings face the Green Bay Packers.

Romo's absence from CBS Sports began on July 31st, following his arrest in Wisconsin on suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence.
