Arctech secures 425 megawatt solar tracking projects across Central Asia

KUNSHAN, China, Aug. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Solar tracking and mounting specialist Arctech has secured 425 megawatts of new utility-scale projects in Central Asia, including a 325 megawatt SkyLine II project in Kyrgyzstan and a 100 megawatt SkyLine II project in Kazakhstan.

These new contracts bolster Arctech's standing in the region and capitalize on its success in one of the world's fastest-growing renewable energy markets. The Central Asian landscape presents significant engineering challenges, from frost-heave soils and gravel terrain to complex geological conditions, which require specialized solar project design and execution.

For the 325 megawatt project in Kyrgyzstan, Arctech devised a customized foundation solution to address the region's frost-heave soils, gravel areas, and challenging terrain. The SkyLine II's terrain adaptability aided in accommodating the complex landscape. Comprehensive pre-assembly and optimized construction planning facilitated efficient on-site installation and enhanced productivity.

In Kazakhstan, the 100 megawatt project faces similar environmental conditions, with frost-heave soils and varied geological conditions. Arctech utilized site-specific engineering optimization and foundation verification to ensure the tracking system and foundations were well-suited to the local ground conditions.
