Apexon targets stalled AI pilots with three AgentRise additions

Technology services firm Apexon Inc. has expanded its agentic artificial intelligence platform, AgentRise, with three new components. Each component corresponds to one of three disciplines the company has built its client work around: Domain & Strategy, Cognitive Architecture, and Harness Engineering.

Polaris, which addresses the Domain & Strategy discipline, is presented as a tool for companies to determine which AI projects are worth funding and to convert business objectives into delivery roadmaps. Apexon emphasizes sequencing this work in short-term milestones rather than long-term plans.

Lodestone tackles the Cognitive Architecture layer by creating an AI-ready enterprise knowledge layer. This layer connects data, institutional knowledge, and business context, enabling agents to make decisions with relevant information at hand.

Harness, the third component, focuses on engineering by embedding AI throughout the software development lifecycle. It uses Golden Paths and Agentic Pods, which are delivery teams, to streamline build, test, deployment, and governance processes.

However, agentic projects have had a low success rate, with Gartner predicting that over 40% will be abandoned by the end of 2027 due to high costs and unproven business cases. Apexon CEO Sriniketh Chakravarthi highlighted this issue during the announcement, stating that many AI pilots never reach production.

Chakravarthi believes the three disciplines will shape enterprise software development, with Harness Engineering providing the agents needed for construction. The expanded platform aims to move clients from AI experimentation to enterprise-scale execution. AgentRise, which launched in July 2025, initially combined Apexon's own models with domain frameworks and third-party tools, all within a shared security and governance layer.

Preliminary client results showed a 40% reduction in processing time and a 30% decrease in workloads. The pricing and availability of the new products have not been disclosed.
