Anwar expected to leave hospital today after successful treatment

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to be released from the hospital today, following a successful treatment regimen, according to his wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. Wan Azizah expressed her gratitude to the public for their prayers, stating that Anwar is currently in good health and has responded well to the medical care he has received.

She conveyed this message to the press after participating in the Semarak Merdeka Parlimen Bandar Tun Razak programme in Kuala Lumpur. Wan Azizah also mentioned that she intends to visit Anwar after attending the National Day programme at the Bandar Tun Razak branch office, provided Anwar's medical team allows his discharge. Initial reports indicated that Anwar was undergoing examinations and a prescribed procedure, with a two-day observation period expected.

His Senior Press Secretary, Tunku Nashrul Abaidah, confirmed that Anwar's health condition was improving and that he would continue with physiotherapy supervised by the medical specialists.
