Following its Switch 2 release, which performed well, Bethesda announced via X that they would be working on bringing the Switch 2 optimizations to other platforms. The studio acknowledged fans' requests for an additional patch, noting that the Switch 2 version of the game has several optimizations the team is considering for other platforms.

They added that more information would be shared as it becomes available. This announcement came a year after Oblivion Remastered's last patch, leaving fans uncertain about the game's future. Bethesda had maintained a suggestions channel in its official Discord throughout this period, where players expressed their desire for the game to receive continued support.
