Abu Dhabi's free visa package set to attract more Indian tourists to UAE

Indian tourists are increasingly choosing Abu Dhabi for family holidays following the announcement of free entry visas to the UAE. Despite the summer heat and the Iran-US war, travel enthusiasts are eager to explore the Emirates. Amit Mehta, an Indian citizen, expressed his excitement about visiting the Hindu temple, learning about the cultural significance of the carvings and architecture, and enjoying theme parks like Ferrari World with his family.

The free entry visa for a three-night stay in an Abu Dhabi hotel, valid until October 31, 2026, is part of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi's initiative to support up to 20,000 visas and reimburse costs for travel partners. The Mehta family, who have visited the UAE before the Covid pandemic, plan to spend three days in Abu Dhabi and two in Dubai, despite the heat and regional conflict.

They believe the UAE remains a secure destination and value the opportunity to save Dh285 ($77) per traveller on visa fees, which can be reinvested in local experiences. Promotions like these are encouraging tourists to visit during the usually slow summer months, benefiting the tourism industry.
