Toyota to recall over 508,000 US vehicles over instrument cluster display issues

Toyota is recalling over 508,000 vehicles in the United States due to a problem with the instrument cluster display, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Tuesday. This issue poses a risk of crashes or injuries as it prevents critical safety information from being displayed properly. The recall specifically affects 2025-2026 Camry Hybrid models.

If the instrument cluster display fails to function during vehicle startup, it may disable the hazard lights, turn signals, seat belt warning system, and smart key reminder, according to the safety regulator. Toyota dealers will address this issue by updating the display software at no cost to the vehicle owners, the NHTSA added.
