Thunderstorms, strong winds and rising temperatures forecast across Saudi Arabia Tuesday

The National Center for Meteorology predicts a series of storms, dusty winds, and soaring temperatures will impact various parts of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. The weather forecast includes thunderstorms with rain in Jazan, Asir, Najran, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province. Along with the rainfall, strong winds are expected to blow dust and sand across these regions, including Madinah and Makkah, which may lead to near-zero visibility along the coastal road leading to Jazan.

The forecast also indicates that the temperature will remain scorching in parts of the eastern and central regions, as well as in the Northern Borders area. Surface winds over the Red Sea will blow from a northwesterly to southwesterly direction at speeds ranging from 10-34 km/h on the northern and southern sides, and up to 50 km/h during thunderstorms in the southern region. The winds in the central area will originate from a northerly to northwesterly direction, with speeds between 15-45 km/h.

Wave heights are forecasted to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with heights surpassing two meters during thunderstorms in the southern part. Sea conditions are expected to be light to moderate, but will become rough during thunderstorms in the central part. Winds over the Arabian Gulf will blow from a northwesterly to southwesterly direction at speeds of 10-30 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h during thunderstorms in the southern section.

Wave heights will range from half a meter to one meter, but will exceed two meters during thunderstorms in the southern part.
